Itinerary

Arrive in Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir. You will be greeted at the airport and transferred to your hotel. Rest and relax at your hotel. In the evening, you can take a leisurely walk around Dal Lake or visit local markets for souvenirs. Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay in Srinagar.

After breakfast, start your journey to Sonamarg, a beautiful hill station located around 80 km from Srinagar. The journey takes you through stunning valleys and lush green meadows. Sonamarg is a popular base for the Amarnath Yatra as it is where you begin your trek. After reaching Sonamarg, check into your hotel and rest. Prepare for the upcoming journey to the Amarnath Cave.

On the third day, leave for Baltal, the base camp for the Amarnath Yatra, located about 15 km from Sonamarg. Here, you will find tents and other facilities arranged for your comfort. You can relax and acclimatize to the higher altitude. The evening is free for rest and personal activities. Get ready for the trek the following day.

This is the most awaited day of the yatra. After an early breakfast, start your trek towards the Amarnath Cave, which is about 12 km from Baltal. The journey is strenuous, but the spiritual rewards are immense. Along the way, you will pass beautiful landscapes, and you can take breaks at various points. Upon reaching the cave, offer your prayers to Lord Shiva and experience the awe-inspiring sight of the ice Shiva Lingam. After darshan, return to Baltal for an overnight stay.

On this day, you will begin your descent from Baltal back to Sonamarg. The return trek is slightly easier as it’s downhill, but still requires stamina and care. Once you arrive at Sonamarg, check into your hotel and relax. Reflect on the spiritual experience you had at the Amarnath Cave. Enjoy a comfortable overnight stay in Sonamarg.

After breakfast, you will travel back to Srinagar, completing the 6 Days Amarnath Yatra package. Depending on your departure time, you can take a short sightseeing tour of Srinagar, visiting places like the Mughal Gardens and the Dal Lake. Your journey ends with a transfer to the airport for your onward flight or journey back home.
