Itinerary

Airport After arriving at Guwahati Airport, you will meet our assistance and receive a warm traditional welcome from our representative. Visit the famous Maa Kamakhya Temple on the Nilachal Hills (10 km) – a significant tantric site and one of the 108 Shakti Peethas in India. Then, transfer to Dirang (200 km, 7 hrs). En route, visit Tipi Orchidarium, a glass house with over 7,500 orchids. Overnight stay at a hotel in Dirang.  

In the morning, visit the Kiwi & Apple Gardens and view the beautiful valley of Dirang overlooking the river, inhabited by colorful tribes. Proceed towards the Sela Pass (13,703 ft) and spend some time by the Paradise Lake. Upon reaching Tawang (143 km, 7 hrs), check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at Tawang.  

After breakfast, explore Tawang Monastery, founded by Mera Lama Lodre Gyaltso in the 17th century. Visit Madhuri Lake (PTso Lake), the China Border, and Tawang Gompa, with its splendid views of the valleys. Also, visit the War Memorial. Evening free for shopping and leisure. Overnight stay in Tawang.  

) Early morning, drive to Jang for a breathtaking view of waterfalls. Pay homage at the Jaswant Garh Indo-Chinese War Memorial and drive downhill to Bomdila (185 km, 7 hrs). Overnight stay at a hotel in Bomdila.  

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and visit Bomdila Monastery & Apple Orchards. Then, proceed to Kaziranga. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and enjoy an evening cultural program. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.  

Wake up early for an Elephant Ride in the Central Range (Kohora) (direct payment). Return to the hotel for breakfast, then drive to the Central Range (Kohora) for a jeep safari (direct payment). In the evening, visit Kaziranga Orchid and Biodiversity Park & Tea Garden. Overnight stay at Kaziranga.  

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Shillong, known as 'The Scotland of the East' and the capital city of Meghalaya. En route, visit Umiam Lake, the largest man-made lake in Northeast India. Evening free for leisure or shopping at Police Bazaar in Shillong. Overnight stay in Shillong.  

<span>Day 08</span>: Shillong to Mawlynnong-Dawki to Shillong After breakfast, drive to Mawlynnong, the cleanest village in the world. Explore the living Root Bridge and take the sky walk. After lunch, drive to Dawki, the gateway to Bangladesh, with a splendid drive passing through deep gorges and ravines. Visit the Umngot River, the natural boundary between Ri Pnar and Hima Khyrim. Return to Shillong for an overnight stay.  

After breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee, famed for being the wettest place in the world. Visit Elephant Falls, Nohkalikai Falls, Seven Sister Falls, Mawsmai Caves, Arwa Cave, Mawsmai Falls, and Eco Park. Later, drive back to Guwahati. Overnight stay in Guwahati.  

After breakfast, visit India's Longest Ropeway, Chakreshwar Temple, Balaji Temple, Nabagrah, and Sri Shankardeva Kalakshetra, a cultural center. In the evening, enjoy a river cruise on the Brahmaputra. Overnight stay in Guwahati.  

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and, if time permits, visit the local market. Transfer to Guwahati Airport for your onward journey with sweet memories of the North-East Tour. End of service.
