Start early from Haridwar. Drive along the Ganga and Alaknanda rivers. Cross towns like Rishikesh, Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karnaprayag. See the holy sangams (river confluences). Stop for lunch on the way. Reach Joshimath by evening. Check in to the hotel and rest.
Have an early breakfast. Drive to Govindghat. Begin the trek to Ghangaria, the base camp for the Valley of Flowers. Walk through forests and along the river. You can hire a pony or a porter. Enjoy nature during the trek. Reach Ghangaria by evening.
After breakfast, start your trek to the Valley of Flowers. The valley blooms with hundreds of types of flowers. The colorful meadows look like a natural painting. Walk through narrow trails and enjoy the fresh mountain air. Spend a few hours exploring and taking photos. Return to Ghangaria by evening.
Start early if you wish to visit Hemkund Sahib. The trek is steep but worth it. Hemkund Sahib is a Sikh pilgrimage site located near a glacier lake. You can skip this day’s trek and rest at Ghangaria instead. Those who go to Hemkund will return by evening.
Trek back to Govindghat after breakfast. The downhill walk takes less time. Reach Govindghat and drive to Joshimath. On the way, enjoy the mountain views. Rest and explore Joshimath town if time allows.
Drive to Badrinath after breakfast. The route is scenic with river views and snow-covered peaks. Check into your hotel. Visit the Badrinath Temple and take part in the evening aarti. Explore other spots like Tapt Kund (hot spring), Brahma Kapal, and Mana Village (India’s last village near the Tibet border).
After morning darshan, start your journey toward Rudraprayag. The drive passes through mountains and valleys. You can stop at interesting places on the way. Reach Rudraprayag by evening and rest at your hotel.
Begin your return drive to Haridwar after breakfast. On the way, visit Devprayag where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers meet to form the Ganga. Reach Haridwar by evening. Your spiritual and nature-filled journey ends here.
