You arrive at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. A driver meets you and takes you to Darjeeling. The drive takes about 3–4 hours. You pass through hills, rivers, and tea gardens on the way. When you reach Darjeeling, check in at your hotel. Freshen up and rest for a while. In the evening, you can take a short walk around Mall Road. You can try some hot momos and Darjeeling tea. Feel the fresh mountain air. Return to your hotel and sleep well.
Wake up early today. At around 4:00 AM, your driver takes you to Tiger Hill. Watch the sun rise over Mount Kanchenjunga. The golden light on the snow peaks looks magical. After sunrise, visit the Batasia Loop, a railway track in a spiral shape. You also visit the old Ghoom Monastery, which holds a big statue of Buddha. Return to the hotel for breakfast. After resting a little, head out for a local sightseeing tour. Visit the Peace Pagoda, a quiet and beautiful place. Later, go to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, and Tenzing Rock. In the evening, enjoy shopping at Chowrasta Market. You can buy tea, woollen clothes, and handicrafts. Try street food like thukpa or local noodles.
Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. Then head out to visit a nearby tea garden. Walk through green fields, see how tea is made, and sip fresh Darjeeling tea. You can also click some nice photos here. Next, enjoy a ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Toy Train). It runs between Darjeeling and Ghoom. The ride is slow but full of fun. You can see lovely views and wave to locals on the way. After the train ride, visit the Darjeeling Ropeway. From the cable car, you can see tea gardens, forests, and snow-covered mountains. Evening is free. Walk around or relax in your hotel.
Have breakfast in the hotel. Pack your bags and check out. The driver takes you back to Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station. You leave with happy memories and lots of pictures from this peaceful tour.
