You will arrive in Kolkata, the "City of Joy." Our driver will greet you at the airport or railway station. After a quick check-in at your hotel, you can freshen up. Later, start your city tour with a visit to the Victoria Memorial, a beautiful white marble building surrounded by gardens. Then, drive to see the Howrah Bridge, an iconic landmark over the Hooghly River.
After that, visit the Dakshineswar Kali Temple, famous for its connection to the saint Ramakrishna Paramahamsa. In the evening, enjoy some free time at Park Street, full of lively cafes and restaurants. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, get ready for another exciting day. Start by visiting the Kalighat Temple, one of the 51 Shakti Peethas. Then, head to the Indian Museum, the oldest and largest museum in India. Next, drive past the Raj Bhavan and St. Paul's Cathedral to admire colonial architecture. You can also shop for local handicrafts at the New Market.
In the evening, stroll around Prinsep Ghat, a peaceful spot by the river. If you wish, enjoy a boat ride during sunset. After the sightseeing, return to the hotel and relax.
After an early breakfast, start your journey to Gangasagar. You will drive to Harwood Point (Kakdwip), from where you will take a ferry to Kachuberia.
After the ferry ride, a vehicle will take you to Sagar Island (around 30 km). At Gangasagar, you can take a holy dip at the Sangam, where the River Ganga meets the Bay of Bengal. Visit the Kapil Muni Temple, an important shrine for devotees. Spend some quiet time at the beach and enjoy the calm surroundings. In the evening, return to Kolkata by ferry and drive. Check into your hotel for an overnight stay.
