You arrive in Bhubaneswar. Our team picks you up from the railway station or airport. First, you drive to Puri. On the way, you stop at Dhauli Peace Pagoda, where Ashoka became a follower of peace. Then, you stop at Pipli, a village famous for colorful applique work. After that, you reach Puri and check in at the hotel. In the evening, visit Puri Beach or explore local markets.
After breakfast, take a short drive to Satapara, which is the entry point to Chilka Lake, the largest coastal lagoon in India. Enjoy a boat ride here. If you are lucky, you can spot Irrawaddy dolphins. You can also see migratory birds (in winter). Visit the sea mouth and small islands. After lunch at a local restaurant, return to Puri. Spend your evening relaxing or visiting the local market.
Today you visit the Konark Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is shaped like a huge chariot with carved wheels and horses. It shows the brilliance of ancient Indian art. On the way, you visit Ramchandi Temple and Chandrabhaga Beach. After visiting Konark, return to Puri. In the evening, attend the evening aarti at the Jagannath Temple.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel. On the way back to Bhubaneswar, stop at Raghurajpur Heritage Village. This village is known for Pattachitra painting, an old art form of Odisha. You can meet artists and see how they paint on cloth and palm leaves. After that, continue the journey to Bhubaneswar. Check in at the hotel. Evening at leisure.
After breakfast, explore Bhubaneswar, the Temple City of India. Visit famous temples like Lingaraj Temple, Mukteshwar Temple, and Rajarani Temple. Later, visit the Khandagiri and Udayagiri Caves, which were carved by Jain monks in ancient times. You can also visit the Odisha State Museum or Ekamra Haat for crafts and local food.
Today, enjoy a day trip to Lalitagiri, Ratnagiri, and Udayagiri (not to be confused with Udayagiri in Bhubaneswar). These are ancient Buddhist sites. See stupas, monasteries, and relics that are over 1,000 years old. Lalitagiri is known for its stone sculptures and relic casket. Ratnagiri has many carvings of Buddha. It is a calm and spiritual place. After exploring, return to Bhubaneswar.
Today, go on a short trip to Atri, famous for its hot water spring. Locals believe the water has healing powers. Enjoy the peaceful environment and take a dip if you like. On the way, visit the Lord Hatakeswar Temple. Return to Bhubaneswar in the afternoon. Spend your evening doing last-minute shopping or relaxing at the hotel.
